Minis News 13 Nov 05
I should have mentioned it before. I travel a fair bit for work. Hence the gaps in coverage. Currently, I'm sitting in San Francisco, wavering from jet lag. And, having vowed not to fall behind, I have some catching up to do.
New Dark Age Announcements
Four new announcements since my last post:
DAG2022 Dragyri Frostbite #1
DAG2023 Dragyri Blizzard #1
DAG1035 Forsaken Coil Leader
DAG1036 Forsaken Strike Leader
New Freebooter Minis Available
We previously previewed the greens, now the actual minis are available from the Freebooter site.
CHA 002-V Chaos Demon, winged variant (total height 64mm)
GOB 003 Pumpkin Nagg (total height 40mm)
Magnificent Egos Greens
From the ME fora, a pirate and a kind of female rogue. Don't much like either, at this point.
Privateer Press: Cryx Harrower Helljack
Previewed from issue 3 of No Quarter Magazine. Since I have a copy of said magazine, I can also tell you that December's releases include:
PIP 33035 Khador Warcaster Vladimir, the Dark Champion (sculpt: Kev White)
PIP 31033 Cygnar Warcaster Major Victoria Haley (Bobby Jackson)
PIP 34037 Cryx Warcaster Wraith Witch Deneghra (Gregory Clavilier)
PIP 33035 Protectorate Warcaster Grand Exemplar Kreoss (Bobby Jackson)
PIP 33038 Man-O-War Demolition Corps (John Winter) - the unit box was already previewed here
Privateer have also issued a preview of the hordes models. Here are 2 of the 6 previews:
New Numidians at AandA and Renegade
Coincidentally (or maybe not, considering the relatively new Warhammer Historical Hannibal supplement includes a Numidian list), a couple of historical releases for the same epoch from A and A and Renegade.
A and A need to find a better way of photographing stuff than to bung it in a flatbed scanner, but they have:
Archers
Slings
Foot Command (pictured)
Cavalry Command
Renegade images can be found here:
Numidians 1
Numidians 2
Numidians 3
Numidians 5
Balearic Slingers
Olleys Armies Alien
New model at Bob Olley's site, very nice too:
Ilyad Preview
Difficult to collect news from Ilyad, they are sitting with Iron Wind in the relegation zone as far as useful websites are concerned (although Rackham's store still doesn't work on Safari, to be fair). Anyhow, a work in progress:
That's it for now.
